The Importance of Psalm 11
Psalm 11 is a great chapter in the Bible that teaches us an important lesson. This Psalm teaches us that we need to put our trust in God. We often times think that we can handle things on our own, but this Psalm teaches us otherwise. Let’s take a look at what this Psalm has to say.
Psalm 11:1-3 says, “In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain. For look, the wicked bend the bow, they string their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?'” We often times find ourselves in difficult situations and we think that we can handle it on our own. But this Psalm tells us that we need to take refuge in God. We need to trust in Him and His strength, not our own.
Psalm 11:4-5 says, “The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his eyelids test the children of man.” God is always watching over us and He knows what is going on in our lives. He sees everything that we do and He knows what we are going through. We need to trust that He has a plan for us and that He will never leave us or forsake us.
